FAQs
How do I ask for something to change during my massage? (Ex: more/less pressure, move positions, etc.)
At Newday, we’re here for your needs and will always do our best to accommodate. No request for change will hurt our feelings, so please feel free to speak openly, as this is a safe space.
Can I request a no-talking session?
Absolutely! The amount of conversation that takes place during your session is completely up to you. Whenever you’re ready to zone out and enter silent relaxation, please don’t hesitate to let us know!
Am I able to partake in physical activities after my massage?
Most of the time, yes! It’s great for your body to move after massage. However, if you are working on more specific goals or deeper muscle manipulation it is best to consult your massage therapist if you plan on doing intensive activities like weightlifting after your massage, as they may suggest planning massage sessions during rest days to integrate the session more effectively and avoid potential overstress of the muscles.
Is the removal of all my clothes required?
Nope! Generally, clients will opt to either be fully unclothed or to keep only their underwear on. However as massage therapists we have no preference and just want you to feel comfortable!
How should I be dressed for a postural correction session?
Wearing workout shorts/sports bra/swimming suits or appropriate underwear to these sessions are best suited for the techniques used during this type of massage because it requires more on and off the table movements.
If I need to blow my nose, use the restroom, or take care of myself in some way, what should I do?
Let your therapist know if anything comes up and we’ll be happy to pause so you can attend to your needs! As massage therapists, we are no strangers to natural body functions and needs, and understand they need attended to.
We look forward to seeing you in our studio!
